Movement

yo word up peeps!!

Its been a while now m talkin' months, but yo! we back at it again this time I rekindle ur memory as I make a solid statement about where we @ 'n where we tryin' to go.....it was winter and we had guests in our city pretty dope I know, the line up was ruckus....bloem city's finest sharin' the mic wit Unreleased, yeah no doubt we gettin' there, I mean we already there. If we keep hookin' up shows like these mos definitely we gon' rake in da moolah c 'n spend cheddar and expand u know what I'm sayin'....big ups to the supporters, peeps who distributed the flyers,142 for the venue, the DJ's and cats who paid @ the door instead of husclin' dudes to get in for free,bafwe2 money is needed to sustain the game u feel me. Otherwise it was a night packed with tight performances and great acts to watch on stage and the crowd was cheerin' and showin' luv. Lets keep buildin'.....united we stand....ahhhh!! need I say more.......anada 1 from da madd one.....salute!!!

Friday afternoon sessions pt. 1

Hip Hop has come a long way and it is up to us to make our own moves. I once read an article that said somethin' like "the reason major record companies in SA aren't signing cats is cos a dope emcee keeps poppin' on every corner of Mzantsi" thus makin' it hard to sign many cats at a go. Then push comes to shove...u got ur EP,Mixtape or Album done & have no record deal so watsup?? Go door to door show to show loxion to city together with a street team tryin' to sell ur ishh! even on campus... yep! I know that stuff ain't easy. So cats now go the independent route, save money, get connections a few friends in high places and start a label. Sounds easy but.....errrrr!!!
To tell u da truth it aint that easy goin' indie cos u take care of everything from start to finish but the best part is u get to learn a lot about music biz & discover ur hidden potentials as an artist or business man/woman. To all the independent labels in SA keep it up and lets make it happen, big up to all the strores that are selling the stock indie style, from clothing, books, media publications to music one luv 4 holdin' it down. To my people lets buy the music and the products and support our own.
It would also be cool if one had a list of all the stores that are selling independent music I'm takin' about physical address,e-mail address/website and mobile contacts if u'd like to place an order. Imagine if every major city in every province mo' Mzantsi had this goin' our hip hop culture would be boomin'(c I'm givin' ya'll business ideas).
So there u have it anotha one from da mad-one c u all next week.
Peace!!!

Today's news...

The Movement has begun. Look out for Bloem City's highly anticipated debut album "Elements Above The ground LP" by Revelation. To him this album serves as a symbol reflecting beginnings of a new life as a human being and as an artist. It took very long to record most of the tracks due to the fact that, he was project manager of the dopest mixtape to come out of Bloem "The Complex Mindset Vol.1" by Kommanda Obbs released in September 2007 by StoneCastleMusic (Marketing & Publishing Co). He says after his 2nd offering "The Birthmark" [release date March 2011] that will be a double CD (Disc 1-THE BIRTHMARK Disc 2-THE BOOK,THE EP & THE ALBUM) he plans to retire from the mic and focus more on music producing, running and administrating a recording studio and artist management. Keep it lock'd ya'll....Peace da madmuzician....and I'm out!!!
